Brittney spends 700,000.... A MONTH

In case you missed it, some bombshell news came out of the personal finance arena last week. No, I'm not referring to the Federal Reserve's rate cut or the record-breaking price of oil.
I'm talking about Britney Spears: She isn't saving for retirement.
Though the 25-year old pop star is hauling in some $737,000 a month (yes, per month), the Associated Press reported last Thursday that according to court documents, she's not saving or investing a penny of it.
More than $100,000 each month is going to entertainment, gifts and vacations alone.

Seriously. WTF. I don't even know what I would do with 700,000 A YEAR. My mind litterly spins in wonderment at the possibilities. Buy a beautiful victorian mansion on Cape May perhaps... I would buy a Shelby Cobra, Maybe a 911, a Quatroporte and perhaps some sort of G wagon for the misses.
Then I would need a vacation home in Florida.

What the HELL would I even DO with 700,000 a month? I really don't even know. The fact that this useless trailier trash is even earning that much and, predictably, squandering every penny of it totally insane. What does she do to deserve that much cash?
She's tabloid fodder. Hey what did britteny do this week? Well she drove 100 miles an hour with babies tied to her roof while shaving her head and snorting cocaine off of a loaded handgun! Wow what will crazy brit do next?! We better give her ridiculous amounts of money so we can keep talking about her.

Ugh. The end is near people. Repent now.

It's her money. Let her spend it how she wants.

But I do agree...I'm not sure how to spend $700k/month. I'm sure her mortgage/leases/buildings/production company/employees/etc are eating a big chunk of that. Oh, and the coke.

I wonder what she will do when she is no longer generating that kind of income? You know that will happen sooner or later.

Money makes money........the richest singers didn't get that way from singing. They're involved in production, clothing, perfume, and developing new/upcoming singers. If she throws a few million at a business savvy producer and he develops some young talent she'll make more money off that than from selling records.....or get robbed blind.

The title of the thread is misleading. She is earning 700k a month not spending it. It looks like she is spending 100k a month which is just as insane.

no, it says she earns $700k/month and isn't saving anything

some may be going to employees and other "work-related" stuff, but the way I read the article she's spending a good amount of it.

There was another article maybe last week that gave more details. She is spending like a few 100K on mortgages on her multiple homes as well.

Hopefully she'll go broke and have a reality check before it's too late and her kids are left motherless, though with the way she's going maybe that's better for them at this point..

apparently jail is the new black so she'll end up there for a bit and then claim to have turned her life around and, because she's the mother, end up with the kids so they can see her snort coke off the cutting board in the kitchen right before the house cook makes dinner.
