I remember this quiz. I though it was pretty crappy. Interesting concept, though.

Also, their interpretation of Ron Paul's position on free trade is incorrect.

edit: Actually, I just took the test again. It looks like they might have fixed that issue. Before, they had marked him against free trade because he votes against "free trade" bills. His reason for doing that, though, has nothing to do with him being against free trade.

I know, it's easy to misinterpret Ron Paul's views because of his constitutional stance. Many need explaining.

Ron Paul came out on top after taking the quiz...although when I presed the "results" button, I wasn't sure who would be #1.

Same two, 82% and 63% respectively. I'd have been higher with probably both of them, except there was an oddly phrased question... it said something about "personal Social Security" which I took to mean doing your own Social Security for yourself, and they apparently meant something different.

considering i didn't have opinions of about half the things listed, it's not really representative. I don't know enough about those issues truthfully and apparently my lack of stance on them puts me in league with the democrats. which is kindof funny.

wait, how did you get asked questions you didn't care about? It prefaces the test with "What matters to you" and you rate them... if all you care about is one issue, give that issue all 20 points

I wanted to see who my antithesis was on the issues... I selected a few issues and put the exact opposite what I would normally put. It came up Clinton and Biden at 75% (all except the war and marijuana).

Kinda frightening that someone who has a decent chance of being elected stands for 75% of everything I am against

Interesting results. My ultraconservative answers scored a 95% match with Ron Paul, followed by Tancredo and Hunter. The Conservative wing of the Republican party -my closest matches- is the lowest in the polls.

The opposite of my choices is more interesting. Rudy the Ghoul, Mormon Liar and Lefty Biden are my polar opposite's choices for pres. Funny how Rudy, Mit and Joe all stand together in far left field.

Me My evil dopelganger

Ron Paul Rudy Giuliani
95 % 68%

Tom Tancredo Joe Biden
63 % 65%

Duncan Hunter Mit Romney
59 % 65%

Mike Gravel - 74%
Ron Paul - 73%
Dennis Kusinich - 73% double

Rudy - 39%
Obama - 60%
Clinton 63%

==

Paul and dennis at the same percentage? Weird

So according to the quiz these are the three candidates I supposedly match closest too and none have a shot to win - I don't even know who Mike Gravel is lol

Mike Gravel:

Iraq and Foreign Policy very similar
Medical Marijuana and Drug Policy similar
Civil Liberties and Domestic Security similar
Taxes and Budget similar
Education different
Trade and Economics very different

Paul -

Iraq and Foreign Policy very similar Medical Marijuana and Drug Policy similar
Civil Liberties and Domestic Security similar
Trade and Economics similar
Education similar
Taxes and Budget similar

Dennis:

Iraq and Foreign Policy very similar
Medical Marijuana and Drug Policy similar
Civil Liberties and Domestic Security similar
Taxes and Budget similar
Education different
Trade and Economics very different

Just curious Linzypop...if you don't mind me asking...

What party do your parents belong to or have voted for historically? Is it Democrat?

My theory is that most children vote like their parents (whether they realize this or not is what I'm trying to prove)....

mom is big liberal, dad was heavy conservative, so i'm mostly middle road. I lean liberal on certain things like gay marriage and right to an abortion (as long as its not used as birth control) but I'm conservative about illegal aliens and i want gun control as far as how guns are purchased. I want more restrictions, but state required gun safes are retarded if you don't have kids at home......
