Lindsay Lohan spends 84 minutes in jail proving again that justice favors the rich..

Lindsay Lohan spends 84 minutes in jail for what would cost someone else probably a 5-10 years..

Lindsay Lohan surrendered to authorities today to serve her time for 2 DUIs, 2 counts of possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility, driving on a suspended license, drinking underage and fleeing the scene of an accident. She turned herself in at 10:30am. She was released at 11:54am. She served a total of 84 minutes in jail. People.com says:

"Ms. Lohan was cooperative," sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells PEOPLE. "She was fingerprinted, photographed, and put in a holding cell, but was let go due to our early release policy."

Whitmore also confirmed that Lohan was strip searched as part of routine jail procedure.
LINDSAY SERVED 84 MINUTES IN JAIL - What Would Tyler Durden Do

Regardless of whether or not you agree with drug laws, or think speed limits are an unnecessary infringement on your liberties.. What's up with this bullshit? Why do they get such favored treatment?

And why do the nonfamous masses put up with it?

I understand the disparity in being able to hire good lawyers in certain cases (ie: OJ got off because he was rich).. but when you're so obviously guilty of something, have a proven history of irresponsibility and putting other people in danger.. how the fuck can a judge let this happen and still stay in office?

I don't get it. At all.

It shouldn't happen, unless this is what they do routinely. Your news clip here doesn't say that someone else that wasn't famous would not have been treated the same way.

Hell, my wifes brother got 3 DWI's in one night. The first two times they let him go with bail. It wasn't until the 3rd time that they finally put him in jail for a few weeks.

She spent two minutes longer in lockup than Nicole Richie did in August for a similar offense.

I don't think drinking and driving, drug possession ect. really lands people in jail that often.

Imagine if she actually killed someone she might have gotten 8 hours maybe 9. She could have said she was researching an upcoming movie role and got carried away.

possession of cocaine can get you locked up quite a while
