Maybe if somebody hadn't lost to T-Tech you could be doing it.

They are overrated. So is/was Kansas. MU's schedule was mediocre at best, but KU's schedule was insanely easy. MU had two worthy opponents this year. With Illinois they squeaked by with a win, because it was that young team's first game of the year. If they played again Illinois would beat them. They later lost to OU. They are playing as well as they possibly can with their talent base and the coaches deserve credit for that. I would rank Missouri about 9-12th and Kansas about 14-17th.

9-3 Illiniois
3-9 Ole Miss
5-7 Western Michigan
4-6 (1-AA) Illinois State
5-7 Nebraska
10-2 Oklahoma
8-4 Tex Tech
3-9 Iowa State
6-6 Colorado
7-5 Tex A&M
5-7 Kansas State
11-1 Kansas

Kansas was WAY over rated and never really tested until Missouri. Check out their jewel of a schedule. Any mediocre opponent they faced they barely snuck it out. If they made it past missouri and OU, i'd give them a fighting chance in a BCS game. They didn't and won't face OU now because of it.

Ridiculous non-conference schedule.

Sep. 1 Central Michigan W 52-7 - 7-5 MAC team
Sep. 8 SE Lousiana W 62-0 - 3-8 1-AA team
Sep. 15 Toledo W 45-13 - 5-7 MAC team
Sep. 22 Florida Int'l W 55-3 - 0-11 winless

Oct. 6 at Kansas State W 30-24 - 5-7 ksu team
Oct. 13 Baylor W 58-10 - 3-9 baylor..wins against Rice, Texas State, Buffalo
Oct. 20 at Colorado W 19-14 - 6-6 colorado team
Oct. 27 at Texas A&M W 19-11 - 7-5 ta/m team
Nov. 3 Nebraska W 76-39 - a terrible 5-7 NU
Nov. 10 at OK State W 43-28 - 6-6 weak osu team
Nov. 17 Iowa State W 45-7 - 3-9 terrible isu
Nov. 24 Missouri L 28-36

The combined record of those teams they have beaten is 50-80. With Missouri factored in, it is still 61-81.

Hawaii? They are probably a notch under missouri in talent level, but with a number 10 ranking...at a more reasonable position in the polls than missouri or kansas...and they are undefeated. They can walk all over the Mcneese States all they want...it doesn't make them a great football team worth of top 5 rankings.

Show you a team with a better record, that also has a stronger schedule? A 10-2 LSU or 11-1 Ohio State is a better team than an 11-1 Missouri or 11-1 Kansas. A 10-2 Oklahoma would beat Missouri (again) or Kansas for that matter.

A 10-2 LSU record is better than an 11-1 Kansas record.

OSU might get fucked only because they lost later than WVU... even though they have better wins.... and lost to a good team. It's dumb.

So what do you fellas think of a playoff system with the top say 6 teams with the 1st and 2nd seed getting a bye? So number 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 on neutral ground and number 1 and 2 get to play on their home turf and the final game played at the higher seed home turf or at a neutral site? I think that would be exciting.
