| It was like watching Micheal Moore without hilarious interviews. Nothing was left to the viewer to decide for themselves, nothing was left to question, just forcefed crap. You want to see a movie about American policy gone wrong, watch Syriana, at least then you can empathize | ||||

| It has bombed in the box office and a lot of people are talking about the actors who chose to be a part of the movie. It got horrible reviews, and despite that the people who went to see it say it's even worse than the reviews said it was. It's a huge flop. | ||||

| Reports are that this movie will probably lose $25million for the disributors. It's no Adventures of Pluto Nash, but it's a definite bomb. I think after In the Valley of Eliah and all the other similar political movies America is grown tired of this theme from Hollywood. For the record, I actually kinda liked In the Valley of Eliah. The end bothered me though when they "artistically" raised an upside down flag to close out the movie. It could have been much better if they didn't keep throwing all that kind of crap in there. | ||||

| I finally got around to watching it and didn't really think it was as bad as some had made it out to be.. it certainly wasn't great, and calling it good would be a strain, but I thought it was fairly interesting I'm glad I didn't go see it in the theaters, and the ending was really abrupt though.. like, the movie would have been better if there was more to it at the end I think. I watched one of the special features and apparently they were really rushed, so I'm guessing that's why it has kind of an unfinished feel to it. | ||||

| I didn't think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be. I didn't mind watching it. Plot was decent and actors did a decent job. The dialog stood out to me as being good, but very elitist. After spending the last couple years relearning actual American history, as opposed to the bogus garbage they "teach" us in school, I have gotten fairly good at disconnecting fictional stories in nonfictional environments. But on a slightly similar note, a few of my friends hated V For Vendetta because of its political undertones. I didn't really notice that being a big deal amongst the masses. Which direction would you guys consider these films to be leaning? I honestly don't know because statism is statism as far as I'm concerned. I view modern politics as rather petty and boring, but I'm still wondering if someone can tell me the political leanings of Syrianna, Lions for Lambs (edit- wait, scratch this one; I remember it being anti-Republican now), and V for Vendetta. | ||||

| Oh, ok. That's how I viewed both of them too. I just wasn't sure if there was a left/right alignment that I was missing. | ||||

| If you actually read the graphic novel, V for Vendetta. It's very different kind of book from the movie. Extremely well made and a graphic novel is basically a comic book but reads as cinematic story-boards. The plot is somewhat the same but it's much more of a psychological drama. Highly recommended. Actually anything by Alan Moore is highly recommended, his books From Hell, League of Extrodinary Gentlemen and Watchmen have also been made into movies. | ||||
