I dunno.... if you tell me that you have a dremel tool to use in case you need to remove a wall in your house, I will argue that you are using the wrong tool. If you then get emotional and tell me that I am a liar and your dremel tool can also remove body panels from your car, I might find it entertaining to explain why your tool is not suited for that purpose.

'Never argue with an idiot because people may not be able to tell the difference' is true enough, but anon forums are good for mental masturbation.

careful, with Mass laws the way they are if you use the wrong color tape it may qualify as an assault weapon

I have a couple rifles and a double barrel 16g shotgun.

Just finished the AK the other day. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet but it manually cycles just fine. I'm sure it will go bang every time I pull the trigger.

The only thing we disagree on is your statements about the AK being effective at long range. Those who think an AK is accurate cant tell the difference between an accurate rifle and an inaccurate one. No worries, go to your local range and talk to the rangemaster - he will either help you or set you up with help. The shooting community is very open and friendly.

Ideally you should have someone load a long range rifle for you on the bench. (Loader will trick you by handing the unloaded rifle to you and tell you that it is loaded- and keep you guessing). You will flinch at first. After a bunch of empty chambers, when you are dry firing without flinching, you will be surprised with a live round. That round will hit dead on. This will be repeated for about 30 minutes, in which time you will fire three rounds. These bullets will be tightly grouped. (just keep consistent grip pressures and keep gently squeezing the trigger with increasing pressure so that you cannot predict when it will go off.) If you have a crappy trigger, you will feel the sear engage or play.... this is bad. You don't need a light trigger, just a crisp one with zero play. After spending a while with a competent loader, you should be able to place within a silver dollar if you are a noob. A quarter if you are experienced. After a little bench practice, you can stack them up with an accurate rifle.

Breathing. Breath in and out with more and more shallow breath until you find your lungs 'neutral' position. This is where you hold your breath to fire. If you have a lungful of air, or closed lungs, your chest will not be a solid platform for your rifle. With proper breath control, your heartbeat will be the only thing to compensate for. Once you get the rythem, you can fire between beats.

You could have had another AR if you hadn't put all kinds of crap on the one you do have.

I have less than $1000 in mine (incl. purchae price), and it kills everything I shoot with it. What more do you need besides ammo, except maybe a good laser and light (mine has both).

if massachusetts saw a laser withing 50' of a gun it'd be branded an "assault weapon" and the news would report the 5 boxes of ammo as "your cache" and if you had another weapon (including something like a hunting knife) they'd have a reporter outside your house and he'd use the word "arsenal" on the evening news.
