Her cackling has been well documented. It is a part of her campaign. She does it all the time to deflect and to show personality.

A local newspaper poll has Obama up by 9 points in Iowa.

A new Quad-City Times/Lee Enterprises poll of likely Democratic caucus-goers shows U.S. Sen. Barack Obama extending his lead in Iowa to nine points with less than three weeks to go before the state’s leadoff presidential caucuses.

The poll of 500 likely Democratic caucus voters conducted by Research 2000 had Obama of Illinois leading with support from 33 percent of those surveyed.

U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York and former U.S. Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, who have both held the lead in Iowa polls at various times this year, are tied for second place with 24 percent.

We need to get Oprah out there to close the deal.

Hillary leads in the 'anti-' vote

By Stephen Dinan
December 18, 2007

Forty percent of Americans say they would vote to keep Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from winning the presidency, more than twice the total for their No. 2 "anti-" pick, former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.

In a new Fox 5-The Washington Times-Rasmussen Reports survey, 64 percent of Republicans, 42 percent of third-party or independent voters, and 17 percent of Democrats said the candidate they most want to keep from the White House is Mrs. Clinton.

"Hillary Clinton is better known than any [other] presidential candidate on either side. She has a lot of people who love her and a lot of people who hate her," said Scott Rasmussen, who conducted the poll.

While Mrs. Clinton performed poorly among most demographics, younger male voters were particularly cold. More than half of the adult men younger than 40 said they would use their vote to keep Mrs. Clinton from returning to the White House.

I've said it from the start, she's way too polarizing to be a decent candidate. It's better the Democrats be done with her now than have America be done with her later during the national election.

The Democrats probably hurt themselves by hanging on to her for as long as they did. With half the country never willing to vote for her, they had to start looking at the GOP options.

Really? its her cackling that made news? I mean seriously politics is in the fucking toilet - this is embarrassing

I was hoping - since 9-11 changed everything - that we'd have at least some serious analysis and debate of her and other candidates policies in "the media" but its seems we are feed bullshit even more these days. I guess thats the drawback of 24/7 news, gotta "report" something to get those ratings

Her cackling made news because she was asked serious questions on healthcare and other issues and rather than answering them, she laughed uncontrollably and ignored it. She's done this dozens of times during soft-ball interviews on the national news. She was the front-runner to be President of the United States. If that's not relevant to her campaign and our country's future I don't know what is.

She laughs at things (ie questions) that aren't exactly laughing matters. It's like she's got this automatic response she uses to avoid having to really answer the issue.
