| Topic Idea The Fall of Goliath This latest Zogby poll should get some attention. This shows a radical shift in the standings of the upcoming election.

| I agree this would be a good topic, but for an entirely different reason. It should be highlighted as an example of media irresponsibility.. pretty much every major news organization has given this e-poll far too much credence, especially considering it's horrible track record, and the fact that standard polling methods, done by respected polling agencies (Gallup) show completely the opposite.. and didn't give equal time (in fact, I don't know that any of them actually mentioned the Gallup poll at all) to the Gallup poll which I believe was released the same day. It's a great example of the media engaging in crappy journalism by trying to make a narrative for the election (Hillary seems less inevitable, we want a horse race!) instead of reporting all the facts. If you didn't really look for the story on the day the polls were released, you probably wouldn't have even heard of the Gallup poll showing the opposite I linked a good article you could discuss here: The Fall of Goliath | ||||

| The Gallup poll was based on data three weeks ago, the Zogby poll was based on data last week. Current Rasmussen reports show the Zogby poll was more accurate. Rasumussen polls taken around the same time period as the Zogby are similar. In any event it shows that Hillary is definitely being beaten now by some GOP candidates and losing even more ground. Obama is picking up within the Democratic primaries and nationally. The polls being released around the same time doesn't necessarily mean that the data was taken from the same time period. Also, it's important to note that the old data from Gallup admittedly showed no statistical significance between Hillary and numerous GOP candidates which and she was on a downward trend. It can be argued that the Zogby poll wasn't as accurate as the Gallup poll, but the Gallup poll is outdated and Rasmussen reports are showing similar trends/results as reported by Zogby. For example the latest head-to-head polls from Rasmussen puts Rudy 4 points ahead of Hillary. Zogby had them at 3. Gallup said three weeks ago they were neck and neck, with Rudy pulling ground.
