One day a baby polar bear goes up to his mother and says, "Mama, mama! Am I 100% polar bear?"

The mama polar bear thinks about this for a moment. "Well, my parents were 100% polar bear, and I'm pretty sure you're dad's parents were 100% polar bear. But why don't you check with him to be sure?"

"Okay, mama!"

The baby polar bear goes up to his father and says, "Papa, papa! Am I 100% polar bear?"

The papa polar bear thinks about the question. "Well, my parents were 100% polar bear, and I know your mother's parents were 100% polar bear... so, yes, you ARE 100% polar bear."

"Oh."

"Anyway, why are you asking, son?"

"Because I'm fucking cold."

Cold.... its been -10 degrees every morning here for the past week with daytime highs in the single digits and over a foot of new snow with more on the way.

It is -18 here this morning and my neighbor is out cross country skiing right now. Crazy bastard. Its cold enough to freeze your nuts off.

it's 3 with the wind chill here today. normally it supposed to be in the mid fourties.

forget about global warming, it's global cooling!!!!

Holy Crap. My mom lives in the U.P. And she has a neighbor like that. He's over 70 years old. Is a ski instructor at the ski resort in town and runs every day no matter the weather. I'm sure he will live much longer than I, but fuck, I like to relax. My body was built for comfort.

Update:

We got our spot of overnight rain. Now it is partly sunny with some wind. If it gets below 60 again I will write Al Gore an angry letter!

Yeah, I saw that!

I was on the way to classes around 6:30 and it took me a bit to realize what exactly was going on

I thought it was leaves or something. Personally I'm hoping we finally get another winter with a decent amount of snow.. it's been really lacking since that one year where we got nearly 2 feet.

while you're at it can you come dig up the "deer crossing" sign near my house and move it down the road a mile or two? I really don't like them crossing so close to my driveway.

I'm ready as well. But hell, it was like 75 yesterday. And is supposed to be 78 today! Good grief....
