This is a really good interview. I just wish ABC would air it on TV.

I strongly disagree with him on quite a few issues, including genocide. Humanity should not stand idly by and watch people get exterminated and do nothing. By his standards if Hitler were conducting the Holocaust within Germany the world should have allowed it. I disagree.

I thought his answer about Canada essentially invading Montana was funny. "I think they could probably take care if it themselves, but we'd help them out from Washington." Poor Canada and their bankrupt military always getting picked on.

The world DID sit idly by until Germany started attacking. Europe jumped in to protect THEMSELVES, not the Jews. No one is fucking with Sudan, and they do genocide. No one did anything with Iraq when Saddam was mustard gassing Kurds.

Us and everyone else rarely gets involved with these sorts of internal genocidal conflicts for the purpose of curing the genocide. The UN passes resolutions to put economic hurt on the people at MOST... so then all they do is find ways around the resolution (like, for instance, how Liberia magically has lots of diamonds now).

I understand that and I disagree with it. We should not allow millions of innocent people to die painful deaths simply because it's none of our business. The prosperity of humanity is our business.

Not necessarily a war monger. But I don't believe we should stand idly by and not get involved unless we're directly attacked. I think if the USA were invaded, overrun and we were being tortured, gassed, enslaved and experimentally mutilated we would want someone to help us rather than have the entire world sit around and say, "Sorry, that's a border dispute. None of my business."

Pose your thoughts on this into a question and post it on DumpyDooby's "sticky" thread (which he is turning over to Ron Paul's campaign today).

My thoughts on this would be what should a Christian do about it? Meaning, its hard for him to separate his Constitutional view on it from his personal view, as a Christian, of it. Would like to have that clarified if possible.
