Animals are to be used in any way that generates a better quality of life for us whether that be through consumption, vivisection or product production. Don't worry, they don't mind. Actually a better way to say it would be "don't worry they can't mind".

| That is my point, everything that exists is energy. I had pointed out that since we were made of energy, when we die that energy is given off and we become something else. Energy is not destroyed but changed into a different state when released. Our energy goes somewhere when we die. It could be the cosmos, it could be our energy just bounces around in the atmosphere. Will we have a consciousness? I don't know. I don't care one way or the other, really. I've had enough life to know I don't care if I come back or not or if I exist after death. Chasing the life-after is not what I spend my time on. Cheers! | ||||

Energy itself does not have consciousness; consciousness is based solely on how our specific neurons interact with each other. Gases and other tiny bits of matter being devoid of brains cannot possibly be conscious. As a matter of fact most life forms that actually do have brains aren't even conscious so what makes you think that gas and little pieces of organic matter could possibly be? I applaud your efforts to rid yourself of superstitious nonsense but I think that a pivotal step in your case needs to be ceasing the fence straddling when it comes to "conscious energy". It's simply metaphysical idea and nothing more.
