I didn't say that the guy was sexist for hitting and running me.

I have made clear that this was really my own self doubt about whether I handled the situation the best that I could have.

when I got hit I was lucky...there was traffic everywhere and the guy behind the guy who hit me as a state trooper

so I climbed over the seat to make sure my son was ok and when I finally got out, from my perspective, there was a cop so i started walking toward him. I didn't even notice the guy behind him, all I saw was the cop laughing. He asked if my son and I were ok and I said yes, then he stepped to the side and I saw the guy behind him. The cop was laughing because when i got out of the car the guy said something about my size (I'm 6'3" and, at the time, probably 240lbs) and he actually ran around and hid behind the cop. That's why the cop was laughing. I didn't know that was the guy who hit me until the cop told me.

So we exchanged insurance numbers and I got the cop's badge and report numbers and we were on our way. His insurance paid. Having a state trooper as a witness sure speeds up the insurance process.

You made sure the kids were safe, so in the imporant sense yes.

You didn't get the plate so in that sense no. But then again it's not like we practice these things so nobody knows what they'd do in that situation. I'd say you could have done worse.

If you got rear-ended and all the sudden had a penis I'm sure it would have changed your reaction considerably!!

I just wondered if that's really how you felt about women. And if it's not, why you would say that about yourself. And if you didn't mean it, then perhaps we need to delve into your deeper psyche.

Ballz, you are reading a little too far into this.

I'm not talking about ALL women. I'm talking about ME.

I've been talking about me this entire thread.

If you would like to discuss the merit of sexism in victims of crimes, then please, start a thread about it, I'll meet you there.

When I said I was vulnerable as a woman, it was purely an examination of myself, not on my gender as a whole.

When one says "as a woman" or "as a man" it has greater implications than "me personally". This should be obvious.

No, he took advantage of ME, and I HAPPEN to be a female and a mother concurrently during the situation.

And no worries, I know my graduate education is a complete facade.
