| creating a conspiracy I'd never seen this before. It goes through "suspicious facts" about the death of Buddy, the Clinton's dog. It catches the tone of the conspiracy theory perfectly, weaving "facts" about Buddy and his death in with real facts, and then drawing conclusions that leave open the "you can't prove it wrong!" angle. Pure genius writing right here, folks. LizMichael.com - Mickey Kaus - Who Killed Clinton's Dog - What did Buddy know, and when did he know it? | ||||

| And before people get their shorts in a knot, this is NOT an anti-clinton thread. I'm pointing out how ridiculous conspiracy theories are and how easy it is to tie together unrelated "facts" to come to a conclusion completely unsupported by anything in reality. If anything I'm <gasp> defending a clinton. | ||||

| Actually I'm doing neither. I'm attacking people who believe conspiracy theories. It just happened that the author wrote about the Clinton's dog and I was sure someone would say I was just bashing them. | ||||

| I agree with you entirely, I was just trying to pull a semantics card on you. This is a good example of how you can take a few facts, a little bit of bullshit and come to an absurd conclusion. It is very imaginative though. It would be like me missing a sock after doing laundry and attributing it to the communist manifesto and some communist conspiracy to cloth the poor in Russia because there happened to be a Russian guy in the laundry mat and my socks were made in Russia. With enough imaginative filler I could have a great conspiracy theory of "the missing sock". | ||||

As far as 9/11, any way you look at it it's a conspiracy theory. Either some Muslim wackos conspired to do what we saw, or some government entities conspired to do what we saw. The finer details can be hashed out, but there are some pretty unbelievable things within both "theories" (like the missle attached to the plane, or whatsisname's passport surviving the crash and magically falling right into the lap of someone that would ID it for what it is and make it official evidence). Basically, the "truth" is which ever conspiracy theory is held in the most positive light and gets written to the history books by those who officiate such things.
