Moral of the story, be VERY careful with company email. Every IT support person in the company (200 people probably) recieved this email today. So to stay consistent, everyone gets to see it

My conference call went ok. Usually I am not eager to be on the conference call, but this time we were talking about something I considered important. We talked about using our fellow <employees> as resources. I was told not to use the <email distribution group> mailing list for help troubleshooting. What I was told was not to use it as much because some people can give bad advice. I was pissed. I guess they think I cannot tell the good advice from the bad advice. In addition to that, I guess I hurt someones feelings when they told me that the fix they were suggesting was a work-around. When that fix did not work, I sent a mass-email asking if there was a more permanent fix available. That’s the part that hurt somebody’s feelings. Our area director brought that up in the conference call. I told him the reason I sent the mass email because the person I was working with said that the fix he was telling me to do was a work-around. The director seemed to accept that explanation. The director wanted to tell us what resources was on the horizon for us, and what resources we could use now. I also told everyone on the call that I use the mass-email as a last resort, not as a first resort. Anyway, that’s kind of the gist of the call.

The email that was accidentally sent to everyone ends at the top...thats the last thing he replied. It was a conversation with his g/f and the last one he sent his g/f was the one he accidentally put our distribution group in the CC box.

The first embarassing component to the thing sending the email to everyone that has his g/f talking about putting him on the mat for him to lay back and enjoy... then in the last email he bitches about people telling him not to use the distribution group to ask for help....which ironically he accidentally CC'd that group his whole convo he was having with his g/f

Not sure why this is so complicated.
