Ron Paul on Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer 1-6-08

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

They showed clips from Giulliani and Thompson where they completely did not understand RP's message, and it's just plain sad. These are supposed to be men who could potentially lead this nation, yet they don't understand the concept of inflation or that we shouldn't be blind to WHY 9/11 happened in the first place.

It's also good to hear RP say what I've been voicing to all those critical of me and the multitude of people like me who donated to RP that no matter what happens, the message of freedom is getting out. It's a good investment into the future of this nation, even if he doesn't win. It's going to happen eventually, and RP has let everyone know that the desire to go back to our constitutional roots isn't small, it's widespread.

Anyhow, good interview.

If the US pulls out of Iraq, how are they going to protect Israel?.....my understanding was that Iraq was Israel's most noteable enemy.

How many times in the last 100 years or so has Iraq invaded Israel?

Israel can protecth herself:

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Israel's nuclear programme

"Israeli nukes are among the world's most sophisticated, largely designed for "war fighting" in the Middle East. A staple of the Israeli nuclear arsenal are "neutron bombs", miniaturized thermonuclear bombs designed to maximize deadly gamma radiation while minimizing blast effects and long term radiation — in essence designed to kill people while leaving property intact. Weapons include ballistic missiles and bombers capable of reaching Moscow."

Tim Russert of "Meet the press" asked Ron Paul what the US would do if Iran attacked Israel+ I've read a number of times that Iraq was considered to be Israel's main enemy.

What exactly would Iraq have done? Saddam barely had control of his own people, and Isreal was and is organized and has nuclear warheads. It's silly to think that they can't protect themselves as they always do (often to our dismay)

Are you telling me you've never heard Iraq/Iran being mentioned as a threat to Israel?.....I thought that view was common knowledge even though I don't buy it

Everyone is a threat to other countries. Are you suggesting that the country that took on the entire middle east, and won, is not capable of defending itself against some pissant nation like iraq or iran?

God no, I'm just wondering why such an experienced TV presenter like Tim Russert would ask Ron Paul what he'd do if Iran attacked Israel?
Whilst some of you guys might be aware of how powerful Israel's military is{and how much sponsorship it receives from the US}, I'm not sure that the average person knows this...maybe I'm wrong, I guess it would explain Russert's apparent silly question, but he's in the "know".

Russert asks questions that seem scary because he's a member of the MSM, and that's what they do.

Isreal has defended itself plenty of times, and has even gone and attacked other nations after we told them not to. They don't need us and all we do by trying to protect them is make the situation worse.
