All this talk about timestamps is interesting. Since I made the video I can settle this question for you.

First of all, Olbermann made his charge Wednesday night near the end of his show. (You can check yesteday's MSNBC transcripts when they come out this afternoon.) We had this video up within an hour of him saying it. So let's not try to claim that Olbermann's clip is from Tuesday (a night he didn't even have a show and didn't do a "worst person" segment at all) as some elsewhere have tried to claim.

As for the Fox clips, they are all from Tuesday, the day of the NH primary. See the scroll at the bottom during them? They talk about the polls closing "tonight". See the timestamp on the in-studio clip with Shep Smith? It says 2:05 PM. Even if that clip were from Wednesday (and it's not it's from Tuesday, because Shep was in the NH portable election studio, and on Wednesday he was back in NY), but even if it WERE from Wednesday, that's still six hours BEFORE Olbermann's charge. In truth it's 30 hours before.

Look, Olbermann hates Fox News. Olbermann Watch has documented dozens of times where he has flat-out lied to smear them or somebody working there. So this is nothing new. It's just not often we are able to prove with video that he's a liar just minutes after he does it!

It says 2:05 PM in the top left portion of the Fox News segment. Olbermann isn't on TV at 2:05 PM EST. And this is coming from someone who hates Fox News.

You can also see that the first clip in the Fox News portion is before 8 PM EST since it scrolls at the bottom of the screen "Most polls close at 8 PM Tonight"

Meanwhile Olbermann comes on at 8 PM EST.

Um, we didn't edit the bottom of MSNBC's screen. We didn't have time to do that and post the video within minutes. Besides it would be a pretty stupid thing to do. Everybody knows what time Olbermann's show airs. The transcripts are all published at MSNBC.com so anyone can see exactly when he said something. Nice try, but no cigar.
