The Ukrainians were prevented from speaking of their past by the government under threat.

The Jews have CONSTRUCTED their history and now NATIONS fund the museums under public money.

The Ukrainians, admittedly, do not see the need to force other nations to indoctrinate youth in their version of history. They also don't believe that others should foot the bill for them. The Ukrainians I know are great folks that way.

Why? Because they teach about the holocaust in public schools? That's a pathetic twist on things. It's part of history. Teaching about it is learning about history. It's not "holocaust education."

Not really. I don't have a problem with public schools teaching kids about the Holocaust. I have a problem with the singular monolithic view of it - without comparative history. I have a problem with public schools teaching that Jews are persecuted and that we fought Hitler to avenge them... and the perpetuation of pity for them without the perspective of the murders of others...

To distill that down for you.... If the schools that taught the Holocaust also taught that 12 million Christians were murdered, deliberately.... that the ethnic Poles, French, etc... where buried in mass graves just like the Jews, then it would represent reality whereas now people are taught a distorted view that presents Jews as the eternal victim.

That is SOOOOO attention whoreish.

There have been 30' pyramids of Christian skulls built by genocidal bastards oppressing Christians, but somehow Christians have not been persecuted according to pop cultures distorted view (by ommision)

The Soviets brutally oppressed Christians while protecting Rabbis... but somehow the Soviets only oppressed Jews......

Those numbers are for EVERYONE in the war. What does that have to do with ukranians specifically?

Actually i haven't. People who hate people because of their race/religion have. I don't judge people based on those things.

I don't buy the premise of this thread at all - besides being anti-semitic the "conspiracy" does not add up for the simple fact that the people have a choice of what kinds of the media to consume. They can flip a channel "on" or "off", can buy a mag or newspaper or go or don't go online - media after all is a for profit business, people don't watch or read, they get no revenue.

People in general tends to like the same things or at least the same fads so TV, mags etc tends to mimic one another to gain the precious ratings points to make more money - look at the proliferation of realty shows, it wasn't a global conspiracy, it was a function of it being very profitable. Same with pundits, game shows etc etc etc

The reason the internet has more variety isn't because its not owned by "types of people" but because its not primarily a profit tool for the smaller players...yet, once it matures it will become more consolidated and similar. It has nothing to do with conspiracy, its profits.

History is history. The Ukrainians were repressed and the world's media turned a blind eye to their suffering.

The Jews were not actively prevented from researching and the world's media trumpets them exclusively. (Except in "Terrorist" nations.)

And yes NATIONS fund most Holocaust museums and education.
