I don't think the naming of the Jewish massacre really makes much of a difference. The fact is, they were killed by the millions. Who really cares what it's called?

I went to school as well and I was taught about not only the Jewish genocide but of the persecution of the Roma, the Jehovah's Witnesses, The political prisoners, the homosexuals, the mentally disabled, and learned of the experiments on twins.

There were simply a lot of horrors of the war which can't be fit into a basic glance at WWII. Perhaps a class dedicated to that specific time period would be able to make a dent in it, but not general education.

These events are well known. I was taught about all of them. I even had to learn the names of each of the atomic bombs and of the plane that dropped them.

There are only two people in this thread who have an objective as far as I can tell. Nobody else is trying to upscale or downplay the events. What I find absurd is that people would have such an instilled dislike for a group of people that they would use the internet as an anonymous means to espouse their animosity towards them.

The boston holocaust memorial was privately funded. The boston parks service maintains it (cleaning, lights, etc), but everything else is done by private citizens or donors. I don't know about the rest but I'm going to believe they're the same until you prove otherwise.
