IIUC at one point the newsletter was renamed to include the word 'survivalist' in its title.

There if nothing wrong with this in itself. However the 'survivalist community' has always had a significant racist faction within it.

It may well be that the very strong 'individualism' present within survivalism is why he sought support there but its still a bit 'dodgy' to 'go' there & not be stridently anti-racist IMO.

As for 'ending it', ..., its his own fault. He cant not point to a outright public repudiation from the time, if he could then he'd almost certainly have no problem from those who adopt a ceasars wike attitude on this issue.

"Survivalists" is an ill fitting blanket term. The common thread in the blanket is a belief that America, and the world, are in a downward spiral.

You could say that "survivalists" are cynics with a backup plan.

'Racist' elements are pessimistic about society, so they tend to envision tumultuous future.... some actively pursue the destruction of society. This element can be understood by reading "The Turner Diaries". This is the book that introduced the idea of the "Z.O.G." (Zionist Occupied Government), and glorified armed insurrection against it. There is no 'racist' 'FACTION' of survivalists...... there is a survivalist faction of racists.

Some would consider me a survivalist because I have set up mining claims in remote areas with abundant game, and I am ready to bug-out if the fit hits the shan. I am a very regular person, but I am prepared. A WHOLE BUNCH of people fit this description. The gubbermedia STRONGLY discourages this mindset because they feel that it is a threat to them. That is why anybody who fits my description is labled 'racist', 'kooky', 'dangerous', 'terrorist' or other dispersions. We make the sheeple uneasy.

Its simply in the renaming of the newsletter from RP Freedom Report to RP Survival Report.

Perhaps not the most clear cut proof, but IMO its enough to mean he should've taken care to emphasise an anti-racist stance as the survivalist/racist crossover is fairly well-known.

Of course this only matters to those who expect their politicos to be stridently anti-racist, ..., YMMV

I dont view all racists as having identical motivations/drives & similarly neither are the views/motivartions/etc of all survivalist identical.

I've seen anti-racist 'survivalists' arguing with their openly hatefull racist bigots survivalist counterparts at net boards before, ..., though i doubt i could find a citation now

I cant be certain but I think my venn diagram is notedly different from yours
