Your reasoning makes no sense. YOu are punishing all people who are dying because some doctors might do immoral things. You don't think we should maybe punish those doctors whenever we find such a case? Why would you withhold these drugs from all patients and doctors simply because a few doctors might misuse them? You might as well ban guns then. There is potential for abuse there too.

I would beg to differ. You do not want to allow anyone to have access to these expirmental treatments because some people might misuse thier authority for personal gain. So to prevent those immoral people from doing that, you simply withold the treatments from everyone. It's no different than the teacher holding the whole class in for recess when one kid acts up.

You are the one putting it on that plane. This is not some inconsequential matter like tampering with somebodies coffee break. You are supporting tampering into mortal affairs.

Your life is the only thing that you really own. When you have a chance to extend it, to save your life, NO MAN OR GOVERNMENT has the right to deny it to you. To deny someone life is to kill them. It is not your decision to make for them.

Here is the REALLY important part.

You dont have the authority to prevent them from taking a treatment. The government does not have the authority to prevent you from taking any drug for any reason.

The government cannot even make it illegal for you to shoot up heroin or cocaine. They can only make it illegal to sell or posses it.

What you are really saying is that even though our system of law recognizes that you have the right to do anything you wish to your body, you have no problem with circumventing someones rights through trade regulations because YOU THINK that you KNOW WHATS BEST FOR THEM!

You do not own them dude..... They own themselves. They are not property of the state. They are livestock to be MANAGED by you or anybody else. It takes a special kind of arrogance to believe that you know best how to run the lives of other men and women.

And if the drug is not actually an experimental drug for their disease, then it would be a lie.

Second of all, how many doctors would stay in business if they give drugs to their patients that don't work!!!???

Third of all, how many "evil" doctors do you really think are running around out there wanting to harm their patients instead of help them???!!!

As if there are many "desperate" doctors running around out their willing to risk their whole career on an unsafe drug for their patients. You must live in some third world country instead of the USA.

Again, how is there a possibility of exploitation? I cannot see a problem with letting people who are dying anyways trying drugs that are potentially life saving or life extending.

Using your messed up logic, we should not let anyone sell food, because people are desperate for it, and they might be exploited!!!
