Hate: Bush vs Hillary

I am just curious about something. On this forum and in a lot of other places in the world...there is a palpable HATE for Hillary Clinton. What is the reason behind that? What EXACTLY has she done to you or your family to make you HATE her?

On the flip side of that...yes, I hate George Bush. One reason, among many, is that he is the head of a government that has put my family members directly at risk in the Middle East with lies and blatant misinformation...for what goal...I have no clue...but whatever it was, it's not a worthy one.

I don't think people hate Hillary in the same way as they hate Bush. People dislike her and they may be afraid of what she would do if elected, but I haven't seen any rampant hate for her in the general sense of what we see with Bush. In fact, most republicans I know are hoping she wins the primary because they don't view her as electable.

she represents everything wrong with politics, and if you need any examples just look at her actions the past few weeks.

It's because people hate Bush for his actions. He has earned their hate.

People hate Hilary because of actions she could take. Also, most people that hate Hilary hated Bill and supported the spending of millions on a witch hunt that got them nothing in the end but some juicy stories.

I'm no fan of hers. I can't ever see a situation where I would vote for her, but I don't hate her like Donkey is talking about. I just don't think she would do a good job.

It's about her, and we already have a thread about it.

If it was about me, I'd have a problem with any woman that ran, and if Rice were to run (as many speculated) I wouldn't have had a problem.

Hillary is so deceitful that I can't trust her on ANYTHING she says. Her whole life (and her husband's) is filled with dishonesty and scandal after scandal. She has surrounded herself on a regular basis with dishonest people (many of whom have been in trouble with the law) and she sees no problem with it. I can't stand the thought of having someone like her run my country.

Not to mention her socialist mentality.

This morning I said I LOVE cheerios.

IMO rational people don't hate *her*, they hate her politics. But nobody's going to say "I hate hillary's political platform"...it ends up "I hate hillary."

While I understand the point you're making, HATE is still the word used...and the comments seem to reflect a genuine hate. I just don't understand it...aside from the whole "they are not rational" part.
