And the animals that we will be eating won't even be the cloned ones. Cloning is hugely expensive. They aren't going to create cows from petri dishes so we can eat them. What will be cloned are the Bulls and maybe some cows that will be birthing the cows we eat. That is it.

I agree with Lou on this one. People who are against this are making an emotional decision based on a knee jerk reaction to what they think cloning is.

Yeah... but the FDA allows rat poop and feces as well as human fingers in MEAT products, thereby protecting the processor from liability.

I shop at Whole foods, local markets, and always check up on the orgin of my food.

I have become paranoid because I don't want to support the mass production of agriculture.

I do not think the motivation for this is ending world hunger. I think there are some things that cross natural lines, and this is one of them.

It's too bad that just like all the added Oils, HFC, and junk already present in our food, they'll add this, and consumers will be even more addicted to sub par food.

I eat as much free range as I can, because even the fat content of the meat is less than a farm raised.

Our process for getting food into our bodies is incredibley tainted.

It's not just about the actual meat though, this will perpatrate a methodology in obtaining nutrition that I believe is detrimental for humanity.

It is supposed to be REAL work to make food, and grow food.

I avoid mass produced foods as much as possible.

I believe that is why I have lost so much weight in the past 6 months.

This includes mass farmed apples from Mexico, sprayed with pesticides, and covered in wax.

I am not talking about choosing the best seed from a crop, and then planting those seeds.

I want a cow that wasn't from a test tube. It misses out on Natural selection and evolution this way.

No, I don't think you understand. MOST fruits and veggies are clones now...already...today. The seeds the farmer plants to get the veggies you buy at your whole foods/local market? Clones.

I know. Her entire argument boils down to "it just doesn't seem right." It's entirely emotional. I don't have a problem with that and she can choose to only eat non-cloned free-range whatever, tha'ts fine by me. I just would like to see her recognize that her argument is not based on fact.

It's wonderful that you have a choice in that. Before mass production, fruits and veggies were very hard to find. Hell, my parents got oranges in their stockings for Christmas because they were so rare. My mom didn't eat a banana until she was 17 years old. THANK GOD mass produced foods are available that anyone can eat them whenever they want. Mass production has made fruits and vegetables available to anyone, anywhere, at an incredibly reasonable price.

Thank God we live in a time where this is possible.

'Organic' is a scam. There are more naural pesicides in fruits and veggies than are present from pesticides sprayed by farmers.

I don't see any difference in eating a cloned animal or eating its biological twin. Are there any other health issues involved there that I'm missing? Isn't it basically like artificial insemination?
