| Quick poll on voting diversity This should be an honest poll. If you couldn't vote for either 2000 or 2004, choose who you would have voted for. Based on then. For example, I voted third party in 2004 and will probably never vote Republican or Democrat ever again, on the federal level at least. However, in 2000, I had a different political philosophy and voted for Bush. So, I chose Bush in 2000 and other in 2004. Do not choose an option based on how you feel about the subjects today, but rather, how you felt when you voted (or would have) in that election. | God damn youngin's...  I cared nothing for politics in 2000, even though I was 19 at the time. Since both of my parents are Republicans, had I voted it would have been for Bush (monkey see, monkey do). In 2004 I was far more into politics, but I was so disenfranchised with the two main candidates I decided not to vote. I thought about going down and voting for Badnarik (I was a libertarian by this point), but there were lines and I didn't feel getting a +1 for Libertarians was worth waiting for an hour. Now I kinda wish I had waited the hour, but I was also hourly at that time and given my financial situation at that time, I'm sure the opportunity cost played heavily into it. | ||||
