If the US ever falls and you were to move, where would you go?

Yes, I know, each election there are people that threaten to leave 'if someone wins' that they don't like. I've never actually seen it happen, but I'm speaking on a bigger scale. It's not a situation that if Hillary wins I'm gonna leave. It's now a situation that if the US becomes a country that I can no longer consider a free country, then where will I go?

I think New Zealand is at the top of my list. What about you?

Ouright suspension of or blatant disregard for the Constitution, dissolution of our key rights (including property) as Americans... any thing else can (hopefully) be corrected by the Constitution, but if 10 or 15 years in a row get strung together where we are trending heavily towards the first things I mentioned that might be a sign to me it is time to find greener pastures.

edit: in other words, I'd have to see the next president/congress continue Bushesque policies with regards to the rights of American citizens for a couple of terms before I'd seriously consider it.

This, and to be more specific, the fall of our economic and military superiority, as well as unregulated immigration. The demise of our healthcare system and education and welfare systems as well. They're all on the brink. What our government does in the next 10 yrs is going to make it or break it.

Once these are gone, we will hvae nothing but poorly regulated systems the government has control over. As a result, the people will turn to the government for even more help. We will be like zombies walking around every day, remembering 'how it used to be'. I'm not going to put up with that. When our country becomes a second-tier country, I'm out.

I would say Canada but then I would have to worry about those damn Americans crossing the border and taking my job if the shit really hits the fan - after I move up there we are going to need a fence to keep those pesky Americans in their own damn country

I haven't ever really given it a thought, there's places in Europe I'd like to see, but without visiting them I don't know that I'd want to live there.
