Even after Bush speech, 43% think Saddam personally involved in 9/11

What do you guys think this shows about roughly half of America? I'm just floored...Bush admits there was no link, and still it continues...why?

Because whenever the Republicans talk about Iraq or Saddam, they mention 9/11, they mention Osama, and it all blends in together.

Even during Bush's statement about "no connection", he still drifts back into "We were attacked " over and over even though we weren't attacked by Iraq or anyone who had connections to Iraq.

it baffles me that so much of america still holds these views

I mean, it has been repeated for a couple years now NO INVOLVEMENT and the amount of people that have changed their mind on the issue is only like 10%

I don't get it. Maybe people want there to be a connection so they can personally justify Iraq in their head since there has turned out to be no other good reason. That's all I can think of.

What's interesting to me is that more people have this view than support the war in Iraq.

Which means some of them think that Iraq had something to do with 9/11, but still want us out of there.

Is there a link to this poll anywhere? I can't find it on CNN's site.

I don't see it either, but I did do a search and found a couple from 2003, which shows that at one time the figure was as high as 70% believed this, so I guess it is trending down, at an alarmingly slow pace.

I don't get this. Maybe the poll question was worded strangely, but if they were plainly asked "do you think saddam was involved with 9/11?", I don't get it

Why is it so hard to believe it's 43% now when it was 70% a couple of years ago?

There is no date or anything. On the ticker below it talks about Mac using Intel processors. How long ago was that announced?

Was this one of their online polls?
