| March 01, 2008 Read More: Hillary Clinton Texas caucus hardball The Dallas Morning News gets hold of Clinton caucus "training materials," in which supporters are instructed to fight for procedural control of caucuses. The materials say in part, "DO NOT allow the supporter of another candidate to serve in leadership roles." It goes on to say, "If our supporters are outnumbered, ask the Temporary Chair if one of our supporters can serve as the Secretary, in the interest of fairness. "The control of the sign-in sheets and the announcement of the delegates allotted to each candidate are the critical functions of the Chair and Secretary. This is why it is so important that Hillary supporters hold these positions."Some of the moments on the ground in Nevada showed how crucial technical control can be, particularly when -- there, as expected in Texas -- nobody has any idea what the rules are. Really makes you love the caucus process. Texas caucus hardball - Ben Smith's Blog - Politico.com | ||||

| Hillary dipping into the Republican playbook....I guess its ok to deride for as many years as she has done, except of course when she needs it. One thing I credit Obama with is that when he was far behind in the polls a few months back, he didn't use fear or personal attacks to become the front runner unlike what Hillary is doing now

| Did Hillary Clinton's ad purposely darken Obama's skin color? This ad is being called into question on the internet. HillaryClinton.com - Video This image shows screen caps of the actual debate footage to the Clinton footage (on the right) ![]() A DailyKos diarist broke this story. Immediately Clinton's campaign claimed the images on Kos was not from their ad. I went to the Hillary ad on their website to confirm and it clearly is from their ad.
Now the Clinton campaign is saying they may have darkened the clip and had no ulterior motive. It was then assumed that it could have been that they darkened the clip to make Obama look mean or sinister as is commonly done in campaign ads as we saw with Time and the OJ Simpson mug shot. In any event and whichever story you happen to believe, people aren't happy the Clinton camp purposely altered a clip of Obama to make him look darker than normal. | ||||

| Looks like the Texas Two Step was not such a nice dance after all: Tempers Flare as Contests Heat Up By Matthew Mosk and Paul Kane Washington Post Staff Writers Wednesday, March 5, 2008; A14 Tempers flared at several Texas voting precincts, and the campaigns of Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.) traded accusations of rule-breaking yesterday during the hours leading up to evening caucuses where one-third of the state's delegates were to be awarded. In Ohio, elections officials held some polls open for an additional 90 minutes because of winter weather and ballot shortages. The extended voting caused a delay of several hours before the state could ultimately be called for Clinton, largely because of late voting in the Cleveland area, an expected Obama stronghold. In Texas, the two-step process of a primary vote during the day, followed by an evening caucus, had participants waiting under the stars as voting crowds swamped the event. Their turnout delayed the caucus events at numerous precincts across the state. In Laredo, a volunteer organizer brought a microphone and a portable speaker from home to try to calm the crowd. But he was drowned out by chants of "We want to vote!" and "We're getting cheated!" Irregularities in Texas had the campaigns leveling a series of charges against each other: that operatives were trying to gain an upper hand by loading up caucus sheets with signatures before the evening events started, that biased precinct chairs were locking the caucus venues before rival supporters could enter, and that campaign supporters had stolen the packet of materials that granted them control of the caucus site. Officials from the Texas Democratic Party issued memos urging the campaigns to play fair. But party officials grew increasingly frustrated with the feuding as the day wore on. "These are two professional campaigns with professional organizations, and we expect both to abide by the rules," said Hector Nieto, a party spokesman. Tempers Flare as Contests Heat Up | ||||

| It's a good thing McCain didn't raise a lot of money to promote himself.. oh wait. She's making a HUGE mistake if she's going to make the election between her and McCain about experience. It may help her against Obama, but she'll toss away the general election. If I'm voting for someone based on experience, McCain would get my vote over any of the candidates. Hillary needs to realize her campaign is against her and Obama. It's interesting, Hillary is doing everything she can to win the nomination, but she isn't looking at the big picture of the general election. Obama was looking at the big picture of the general election and was ignoring the primary. Obama kicked himself in the ass for it last night. Hillary, if by some un-Democratic means gets the nomination will kick herself in the ass for it in the general election. Also, I've read from a lot of Democrats that they're tired of hearing her endorse McCain. In an election year it's a HUGE no-no to endorse the candidate of the opposing party. Hillary being divisive.. once again. She is proving to be incapable of filling a leadership role of the Democratic party, and hell even America. She doesn't play the part, she plays the selfish politician who is only out for themselves role and seems completely delusional over the consequences of such actions. | ||||
