| I didn't live in the town where I taught so i wasn't allowed to go to the town meetings. So I worked my way into a meeting as a "school ambassador" on the condition that I didn't talk unless specifically asked a question. This woman proposed that anyone should be able to walk in any school and sit in any class at any time because "they're town employees and we should know what they're doing." I said "can you please ask me if that's a good idea" and got a big laugh but was asked to leave. Apparently she had been saying these kinds of things at every meeting, to the point where they blocked out a 5 min. segment of each meeting expecting her to rank about something. Hey, it's NH, we still have town meetings where anyone can talk. So she would get up at say the same kinds of things about the police, fire dept, etc. She proposed that the fire dept work at the schools as custodians/aides/coaches/etc for free when there aren't fires because "they're town employees and we're paying them to do a job but when there are no fires we're paying them for nothing." So yes, someone proposed it, but she was fucking batshit insane. | ||||

| Oh, and if you can keep a straight face while they're bitching, throw in "what are you complaining about? It's only a part-time job." | ||||

| the only thing I liked about that god-awful rambling was the idea of transferring unused GI bill funds to a servicemember's spouse. | ||||
