Paul should really drop out. I think it should be obvious at this point that he can't win the nomination. He is wasting his time and everyone elses time who supports him and has given him money and continues to give him money.

If you read my blog then you would know it's about "the message" as well as the campaign.

Ron Paul won't be dropping out anytime soon.

Perhaps you could comment on the content of the blog relating to inflation and what your candidate has planned to combat it. Unlike other candidates, Ron Paul has a plan.

I strongly disagree. As long as his fundraising holds up he's a viable candidate. The more candidates who drop out the more attention Paul is going to get by default. Now that Rudy and Thompson are gone it's down to the wire. Huck is basically done for. It could come down to Romney, McCain and Paul which would definitely help his chances in the Republican primaries considering McCain and Romney aren't all that conservative.

Yeah, because he wasn't chosen ahead of time to be allowed to even come close to winning.

What about the people that gave Giuliani all that money? I have NEVER heard that argument for him or Thompson

Seeing as though Thompson and Rudy had no votes...and Huck doesn't get any either...what's the point? You could give all their votes to Paul and he's still not a contender.

Since he's not a contender he message isn't getting heard. The only people that hear it are the people who already support him.

He's a candidate, sure... but he is not viable. At this point in the game if you have not won any of the primaries, you are not going to win any. Paul will not get any more attention. The attention will focus more and more to McCain and Romney, everyone else will be spectators. Votes will not shift to Paul, they will shift away. As it becomes more and more clear that your choice is really between McCain and Romney, people will vote for one or the other. The only supporters Paul will retain are the ones he has now. If you were supporting Thompson before he dropped out, you certainly won't shift support to Paul.

My choice will never be between McCain and Romney, because I know that I'm not in this for a prize for voting for the winner.

Again Lou, just read the first paragraph of my blog, since you keep saying things that don't apply to Paul's campaign. Once a nominee is decided upon, if it is not Ron Paul, his supporers will make sure his "message" continues as a 3rd party candidate to November.

You only address the current situation without paying attention to the bigger picture. The game has just begun!

So he is magically going to get more supporters because he's running 3rd party in November?

He's got a little over 9 more months to have his troops spread the "message." I plan on being a big part of that Donkey.

It's not magic. As with any candidate the more media attention they get the better their numbers will be. Ron Paul has shown time and time again that he has potential to get people on board for his campaign, the problem he has is convincing people he's a viable candidate. If he can get himself down to the top 2 or 3 he'll start to make a lot more headway.

So you're going to ignore the fact it's pretty obvious that Republicans have narrowed their choices to Romney and McCain? Where is this surge of support going to come from?

He's had 9+ months already I thought. I have seen his message everywhere...still didn't translate to votes.

The Republicans have narrowed their choices numerous times throughout this campaign. It's not over yet.

Simply not true.

It is possible that Paul could win Maine this Saturday and perhaps a few states on Super Tuesday.
