Good discussion of the issues thus far...unlike that debacle last night. I have seen them both spell out in detail their plans and where they stand on issue brought up.

Is it just me or are these two being completely nice to each other? No mallicious attacks on each other yet. Just minor bickering... I think they're running as co-candidates at the moment. Clinton/ObamaObama/Clinton Obama/Richardson

Like I said, I think it's because of the bullshit that went on last night on the Republican side. It's a smart move.

hour and 40 minutes in...

Obama got in some nice ones about the war vote, but I think Hillary deflected them pretty well, especially to people who are undecided (real anti-war fanatics are already in Obama's camp)

However, looking at "policy differences" I got:

Obama will hand out drivers license to illegals

Obama will set up a health care system where drug addicts can fuck up their health, pay nothing, and then run into the ER and get treatment...and his answer to that is somehow they'll be some agency that will track them and make them pay "back-premiums" yeah good luck with that when they're broke

Overall, I think Hillary is winning the debate in the way of how super tuesday voters will view her

i have to say...to any person sick of the GOP (most of America) and not on some 3rd party crusade (this board)...they had to think "wow, the both of them really look good to lead this country in a new direction"

We have two excellent candidates, and while voters can feel McCain and Romney hatred towards each other...and one the economist the other the war specialist...I don't think undecideds watching that debate thought nearly as much of those two as they did of our two

Our chances went up tonight, and they were already excellent

Also, the bleeding for Hillary really stopped tonight, word for the past few days is that Bill is under a firm leash, on her direct orders, and I bet she's following her every command to the letter...certainly has the past few days

And the whole cordial debate, the "hug" afterwards...really hurts the arguments that the Democrats are tearing each other apart, and all that nonsense...which overall I feel really helps Hillary in that she isn't forced to pick Obama for VP (we both know Obama would never pick Hillary, but that's political common sense not because she's unqualified or has bad character)

A most excellent debate, Obama tried to play policy wonk, but Hillary really had a command over the issues that he simply doesn't

I still think that and Hillary/Obama ticket would be excellent. Obama doing the VP role for two terms...then on to President. I could live with that.

I would have to agree with this. I think Hillary won the debate from what I saw. From all the commentary I read everyone was a bit surprised at how cordial the debate went, but knew it was in both their favor to do so. I think when Hillary manages to keep her cool and not talk around every side of an issue she ends up better off than her competition.
