| What If Hill Dropped Out Right now. What long and short term benefits would accrue to Hillary if she opted out right now in favor of O? #1 She would avoid gettng trounced next week. A shellacing from which she might never recover. #2 She could save the democrats a ton of dough which could then be used to unseat enough GOP to make Obama's congress bulletproof. #3 She could write her own ticket in terms of a cabinet post, cushy ambassadorship or VP! #4 She's still young enough to rise to the top, perhaps in a manner similar others who stopped to rest at the VP station first. #5 Against that much unity the GOP might follow their extreme right wing and simply write this election season off. #6 She would become an instant hero; forsaking personal glory for the sake of her party and the country. #7 Hillary and Obama could donate their unspent funds (that they would otherwise waste fighting each other, and in the process making each other appear less voteworthy) to soup kitchens and homeless centers across the country. A reference to "living out the true meaning of its creed" from MLK's famous speech would be an integral element of this particular item. #8 Her political party would be unstoppable, and for once they would do it without having to resort to up dumping on poor George. Ending the negative postulating that drove voters to our current incompetent leader. #9 I think it would be great strategy and in the long run would bring her tons of respect that heretofore has been the most lacking element of her style. #10 It would catch the polical world off completely offguard. TV networks, for instance, have already committed all the political dough they would never collect. Just like the food and rent money missing from the paychecks of the common people the democrats are supposed to represent. Hey, if you run into Hill today, ask if her people caught up with this post, but then I'd duck. Have a nice day, goldenponderbob | ||||

| You could say much of the same for Obama And people just don't believe Obama can stand up to the machine that attacked Jimmy, Walter, Bill, Al and John...only one did and his name was Clinton, and he was by far the easiest target of the 5, yet he knew how to fight back Can Obama? I haven't seen it, despite what Ja would have you believe, her attacks have been little rabbit punches, they were nothing, when McCain starts acting like Obama's a child, we've already seen people on this board say "McCain has so much experience, im voting for him!" is only a small step from "2 years in the senate...in his 40s...can't risk it, al qaeda 9/11 omg" | ||||

| You seem to imply that she is anything but obsessed with her own personal ambition? I can write off 2,5,7,8,and 10. As for the rest she has seen the writing on the wall in the polls and election results thus far. Obama cleans her clock with younger voters. This is her shot and perhaps her only shot! Another four to eight years in the Senate are not going to do her much good. And Nobody gets a second chance like good old Dick Nixon! ![]() ![]() Not gonna happen! ![]() So she better get rid of the O (and I don't mean Oprah) fast! Obama is the one who has the many chances. I can see that!
