| when you read the email you believed it though, didn't you? Exactly why Obama would be hard pressed to win the general election...so many email chain letters are going to be filled with him being a muslim terrorist And we all know the people who voted for Bush are firmly in the "bomb the brown people!" camp, i really don't think they'd vote one into office...since Bush got a majority of the vote... | ||||

The same thing is going to happen to obama...people who want to believe he's a muslim terrorist are going to see an email with "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" as the subject and read a hate-filled email and think "I KNEW IT!" and never check to see if it's true. And when one person on the distribution replies back with a snopes link they're might dismiss it and they might not, but it'll still be in the back of their heads.

I don't know whether you are a committed Christian yourself, or have much experience with them...but as people generally ignorant, and then you throw in Christianity...it's a very very powerful environment to scare people into thinking they just MAY be electing someone who is...A MUSLIM!!!! Keither whatever, who was a muslim who won that solid Democratic district, I am pretty sure would have lost that same district in a presidential election as the Dem nominee...Americans are simply too afraid of muslims in general, even the whisper of a possibility is enough for too many people If things play Obama's way, he'll get a big 15-20 point lead by the summer, only to see the smear start up big time, and he turns into the child-like muslim terrorist who snorts coke...then behind the numbers, people will start getting cautious and go "Well McCain is pretty indepedent, he doesn't seem like Bush 2.0, so its change, ill settle for that!" and que the election victory music at the McCain camp

| There are lots of women in Congress, there are a good number of female senators... They all...on election day...got what the polling indiciated they would get (generally) Black candidates running for governor/senate have almost always faced a bradly effect So, in political ways, we have moved beyond gender in most ways Race and Religion are completely different Also, people who use gender discrimination actually have a reason that isn't completely hateful, they don't know if the person is tough-nosed enough to deal with running a state or getting them earmarks With race...why the hell can't a black man be the governor of Virginia because he is black, what possible relevance does that have? ![]() Look at this guy, he even looks Italian...yet whites lied to pollsters and his comfortable lead vanished because he was black, and alone in the private booth people can be as racist as they want | ||||
