Why create a sleek system that actually distributes the true costs of health care more fairly when we can just force you to buy private health insurance by taking it directly out of your already meager paycheck? Instead of going after the root of the problem, let's exacerbate it and force people that already can't afford it to shoulder more of the burden for taking care of people that have no reason to stop killing themselves.
Zero proof that anyone who can't afford it will be charged a dime

You can't complain insurance companies are going to get too much money one minute, then complain we are going to drive them all out of business the next

Middle-ground

And your other points are things that will be illegal under Obama or Clinton's plan

I must say, if you are that much against both the plans, how can your support a candidate who is making it the center piece of his agenda?

Can you name one other piece of legislation Obama is going to pass in his first year?

Why does Cigna still need to exist then?

I'm giving three possible outcomes for the policy. I wouldn't dream of defending the insurance companies.

The president isn't a legislator, so I don't really care what he will or won't pass because nothing Obama proposes would make it through congress unscathed anyway. I care about leadership, I care about the effect he has on the rest of the country, and I like his outsider status and am looking forward to a cabinet filled with people that aren't artifacts of the 90s.

I am unable to find any logic in this post. Are you reading what I am posting?

There's zero proof to the contrary as well.

Because Americans are not politically (and some might say, literally) ready for single payer health insurance

Too many people want their insurance just the way it is now, its a democracy you can't ignore 40-50% of the population

Majority does not want single payer

Majority does not want "death by spreadsheet"

What do you do? Compromise

Ofcourse he is a legislator, there are large numbers of federal employees dedicated to putting the president's plans through congress to be crafted into law

The greatest presidents of the past 150 years have been defined by what laws they passed

He's an executive. He provides the vision and signs the bills. I trust his ability to do that.
