Good thing there isn't a war going on, or an unbalanced budget, or a recession on the horizon.

The Republicans have made clear nothing is going to change on Iraq...they have also made clear they are not going to make any major budget canges...they have also made clear they are already working through a stimulus plan...and certainly the investigations of one Republican Senator are not going to bring the house down...

Our government is in an unbreakable deadlock until 2009 on almost every issue, people do have time for more investigations

Unless you rather they all got paid to go fishing?

I don't understand. Was this posted in the right thread?

The government has no business in this shit, using airwaves as an excuse is absurd. Furthermore tax payer dollars a paid in on a local basis, let the local governments fight it not the feds.

But as thewise1 said the good thing about this is they're not fucking up anything else, but this is ridiculous. These congressmen/women need to get real jobs and contribute to our country instead of going on ridiculous witchunts.

Once again the NFL is worried more about money than it is about integrity...they are freaking out that this will put a huge cloud on the past 7 years and make people get less ratings (but they know they'll still make money)

The AMERICAN PEOPLE want to know what happened, if no one else will step up, then Congress should

IMO, more people want to see what happened in spygate than watch another pointless iraq filibuster by the GOP

Then the people should call the NFL or boycott the NFL, this is ridiculous...other than the fact that congress isn't screwing up anything important when they're screwing with this.

I know of not one person gives one shit about this "problem"

If it were a problem and people cared, they would be losing money and then look at the issue.

If you had a valid complaint, such as alcohol consumption at games, which is an occurrence at EVERY SINGLE GAME and causes massive issues from fights to high rates of drunk drivers - i could see this being a concern.

but the fact is, this is a non-issue that no one gives a shit about and everyone thinks congress is a joke for even thinking about "investigating" this issue.

The NFL would ignore the calls...and people don't care enough about the Patriots to stop watching their favorite home town teams play another team...when the Patriots aren't even involved

The patriots could start handing out wads of cash to officials and people would still watch the NFL
