I've been around numerous Philly families, enough to know that unless a report comes in that
A) The parents are starving the kids
B) The parents are abusing the kids

No one gives a shit what happens to them, and certainly no governmental official comes

To try and say the income tax amendment was meant to tax everyone the same amount of money is beyond ridiculous, and anything else is wealth redistribution because you're charging people more money for making more money

I still have a hard time believing that this won't be mandatory.

It's a shame hillary refuses to answer questions about things like this and offer more details, specifically on her stance on homeschooling and parental rights and such.

Getting nurses to every home in Philly would be a logistical nightmare, nurses are already crazy busy

visiting a city of 1.5 million people? you know how many family homes that is? ridiculous...as a mandatory program, which it won't be

I've already posted the grand list before, but here is a much smaller example, multiply it by about 100x to cover all the programs that keep this country spinning and not some third-rate Somalia

Printing the very dollar bills with which people trade.
Rural electrification.
Government subsidized telephone wiring.
Satellite communications.
Police protection.
A criminal justice system.
Fire protection.
Paramedic protection.
An educated workforce.
An immunized workforce.
Protection against plagues by the Centers for Disease Control.
Public-funded business loans, foreclosure loans and subsidies.
Protection from business fraud and unfair business practices.
The protection of intellectual property through patents and copyrights.
Student loans.
Government funded research and development.
National Academy of Sciences.
Economic data collected and analyzed by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Prevention of depressions by Keynesian policies at the Fed (successful for six decades now).
Dollars protected from inflation by the Fed.
Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Public libraries.
Cooperative Extension Service (vital for agriculture)
National Biological Service.
National Weather Service
Public job training.

Even if you didn't partake in every one of those plans, people you've worked with have...the companies you've worked at were full of people who could say "thank god for X, or else I wouldn't even be here today, and X was a government program

It's funny, you'd be living in fascist Russia right now if it wasn't for the US Government which negotiated Russia to give up it's strong claims on the state of Washington

There are things that the government does that I don't mind paying for.

I have paid and continue to pay for my share of them. Thus, I am not leeching off society.

Like I said, the US government has taken huge loses in the past and present to set up America and keep it where it is now

If you took all the money the federal government has ever invested in this country, and divided it by the citizens, you'll never pay off your share in your entire life of taxes

That's why:
1) We have a debt
2) Rich tax payers have bailed you out in the past and present
3) The US Government is in such a weak position to pay off it's debt...it's given away so much, without reservation, that only directly raising taxes can it try pay off its bills

Taking WW2 and the Cold War alone, you're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars each citizen would owe, and none of us wanted the Nazi/Japanese Empire to rule us, or the Soviet Union

No.

I don't care what they spent. They shouldn't have spent it then. I reject the argument that I owe the US something because they chose to be spendthrifts before I was even born.

And haven't we been through all this before?

He husband makes a big speech and holds up a Government Medical Insurance Card that nobody can ever take away and the cheers go up. Then we find out about the details worked out in secret. Not about energy policy, but how they intend to run our lives!

Oh hell. This is too funny.....
Apparently in response to the $5 million being injected into the Hillary campaign the Obama camp has pressed Hillary to release her income tax records.

ABC News' David Wright Sen. Barack Obama called on his rival Sen. Hillary Clinton to release her recent income tax returns - a move the Clintons have long resisted.

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

Strapped for campaign cash, Clinton announced this week that she loaned her presidential committee $5 million of her own personal funds, but it was not immediately clear how she came by that much money.

"I've released my tax returns," Obama said today on his campaign plane, noting that Presidential candidates have a duty to be transparent and accountable.

He said, "The American people deserve to know where you get your income from."
Political Radar: Obama to Clinton: Release Your Tax Returns
Let's see if she'll do it. Obama had nothing to hide. Can Hillary say the same?

Well I wouldn't want to sleep with her or anything

But seriously, she's got a horrible track record of getting her income from shady sources. If there's an issue I think it should come out now before she gets the nomination and it's used against her to once again steal the Democrats from another presidency.
