I've been wondering how the new SkyBus thing is.. so cheap makes me a little concerned about the quality.. so definitely let us know
Well, here is my report about SkyBus. It's great. They use new AirBus planes with 3 seats on each side. The seats are leather but aren't that large. About average comfort I would guess. The isle is big, which makes standing and walking really easy.

They load from both the front and back of the plane which means everyone is on board in and ready in about 10 minutes. The turnaround from when a plane lands, unloads their passengers and reloads can't be much more than 30 minutes. Pretty amazing.

The flight attendants are nice, young and pretty good looking. Our landing was pretty hard when we flew back into Greensboro and the flight attendant said something like "Now that Captain Kangaroo has gotten us safely into Greensboro..." which was pretty funny.

They charge you for everything. Each bag checked is $5. Drinks are $2. Snacks are $2. Meals are between $5-8. I think beer, wine and liquor were $5.

They also have a catalog with gift items and at the end of the flight they wheel the cart to see if you want to buy anything. Kinda tacky but whatever. My wife actually really liked a pair of sterling silver earrings they were selling and bought a pair.

So even if you add all the extra's, the $20 we spent checking luggage both ways. About $25 in snacks and drinks. We still only paid $285 round trip for 4 people to St. Augustine, FL. The other airlines were wanting $300+ EACH.

So it was very worth it and we are actually looking for places to go so we can fly them again.
