| Which trumps which? UN is against LA "Pot Vending Machines" UN board says marijuana machines illegal - Yahoo! News
To me, this is beyond bullshit for one. Well, for one, the Federal law trumping state law is bullshit in its own right, but now "World Law" trumping state law? Please. A clear violation of the right to govern locally. Do people really care if dying cancer patients smoke a blunt? (And yes I know you can get a prescription for basically any reason).

| I just don't understand why the federal government cares. They are actually expending resources to prosecute these people. Why? They gain nothing. There is no revenue in it. No one is being harmed. It's not a criminal offense in the state. I just don't understand why the Fed wants to be involved in this. UN resolution or not, it's still our federal government that agreed to the terms and agreed to enforce it. | ||||

| It is a bit beyond me though, anyone thinking those things were a good investment. How long did they give themselves before their 10,000 (guessing) dollar vending machines were confiscated by the feds or broken by some kids. | ||||

You don't even need a prescription. You just go to a doctor and he gives you some sort of recomendation. You don't even need a valid reason. You can get it for shoulder pain if you want. Oh I pulled a muscle, I need to smoke a joint. ![]() That's definately the menu from a respectable medical facility right? Don't get me wrong. I am all for medical marijuana, and I would be all for legalizing it for recreational use. But CA is just sort of thumbing thier nose at the law and lying about the medical use aspect. It's just dishonest and it bothers me.

| Who really cares? Dishonest? Isn't everything about our current American Government, dishonest? While we're having a war over in Iraq, they are having meetings to bully a former HOF baseball pitcher who did HGH (anyone who thinks he didn't is gullible). While they're getting MSNBC reporters suspended because they said, "Chelsea is pimping Hillary". They have a bill being passed for more wire-tapping. Do I care what the United Nations think? Fuck no! They're a bunch of pussies who allow Authortarian-governments into there little club while on our soil in NYC! Are you kidding me? Nothing is American about our government right now. If it was, we wouldn't have the IRS or Federal Reserve, we wouldn't be in wars that are not winnable and we wouldn't be invovled with the U.N. or World Trade Agreements. One by one they pick away at our rights, in the name of globalization and trying to make everyone "cool" with America. Whatever happened to the America that I read in history books that would not get invovled in foreign policy until our hand was forced? Whatever happened to that America where the Japanese bombed us and then we put our foot down on the Axis-powers throat, putting a gun to their head and telling them "Surrender or die." Whatever happened to the America where our forefathers got together and stood up against a Monarchy that was ruling almost the entire planet at the time? Pot Vending Machines? The U.N. doesn't like them... You know what I have to say to the U.N. in all this... FUCK YOU! And get the hell out of our country you corrupt motherfuckers. If the U.N. was successful at all, genocide in Darfur would be extinct, but they're pussies because they don't want to piss off any of the Authortarians. I'm going to smoke a bowl now after reading this bullshit. P.S. I'm an American!
