Why are some of the biggest complaints of Bush about when he is not acting as a true conservative as so many liberals like to point out?

It always seemed to me that the liberals get the most worked up being called liberal. They all like to picture themselves as Middle Class Centrists. Obama has a far left liberal voting record when he was not voting "present." Conservatives will remind voters of this simple fact.
