Where are the rest of the democratic delegates?

Alright so cnn.com has these numbers up:
Hilary: 1,148
Obama: 1,121

and that includes about half of the Superdelegates.


Then here is the map of whats left:

2008 Presidential Primary - TIME



With a total of 4049 delegates, are they crammed into smaller states or is this just an optical illusion. Because it definitely seems like we should be over 3/4 of the way there and we are barely over 1/2 the way there.

There are several large states left that aren't normally really in play.

Texas (228), Pennsylvania (188), Ohio (161), North Carolina (134), Virginia (101)...
