I knew a bloke ar uni who was called Long , ..., it was his first name.

I know a bloke called Nicholas Hawes, (I find it hard to believe myself). I'd known him years before i found this out as everyone calls him by his nickname, which his parents refuse to recognise at all.

My mother worked back in the 50's in a birth registaration office in North London. They had to accept whatever the punter wanted, the only way out was to go on strike. They struck several times. The stories i remember were the child with 26 alphaticised forenames from the bible, (Aaron to Zachiriah presumably), & the frankly f*cking depressing 'We dont want you' Smith
