And now, yes she won, but there are other reasons that Michigan and Florida should count and Obama is being a god damn moron by passively objecting or accepting depending on what mood he is in that day

Florida and Michigan want to do a re-vote, the voters and their Senators/Reps are behind this...why would anyone be so stupid as to piss off two states, one of which is a must win battleground and the other (with PA or OH) would most likely seal the deal for Obama

It's simple, he knows Clinton and her surrogates started the whole "lets get PRIVATE donors, and not tax the citizens, for a revote" and he looks like a big dope just sitting there, having done nothing to resolve this, after almost 2 months of this being a near-crisis for Democrats

he doesn't want Hillary to possibly look good, but he is lazy as hell so he's just sort of standing around and letting his surrogates make some pot shots while not actually calling the revote horrible

he's had a tough couple of weaks...Hillary roars back...everyone is talking about a revote, the media is all abuzz...now they are all talking about a "dream ticket"...fucking sucks to be Obama right now, he's just trying to tough it out until NC/PR etc come in and then he'll remake his arguments

until then he has to hear the Clinton team making all the big political news and directing all the stories...which isn't a bad thing because there is absolutely nothing interesting coming out of the Obama campaign this month, they are just repeating what they said last month, and no one cares
None of this backtracking has anything to do with what I said, nor does it justify your completely ignorant statement. I'm not too sure what the relevance is.

Geraldine Ferraro - a member of Clinton's finance committee and of a course a Hillary supporter said (and was a VP nominee in 84) -

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.

And the Clinton campaign does not bring up race and gender?

Clinton's "finance committee"? I'd like to hear more about this because up until now she was not an significant figure inside the clinton campaign...and certainly wasnt in a position she could be fired from...

She has been one of Hillary's top donors and fundraisers. Is Hillary going to return her money and the money she has had a direct hand in collecting in response to these borderline racist remarks?

one of her top donors...really...she's taken in about $155 million dollars in her campaign, do you have a ranking chart of her donors...just so I can see how she's on "top"

the campaign already pubically disagreed with what she said...she doesn't have any firm position i've heard of...

she seemed to be highlighting the problems of women...notice she constantly refers to women and even her "borderline racist" statement says "white men" not "white person" or "white man or woman"

She donated $2,300 in her name. Shes also been a top fundraiser for Hillary and brought in a lot of donations to the campaign. And just because she said "white men" doesn't mean anything other than you can throw in a side of sexism.

the ranking chart still isn't loading

so she hates women and blacks? interesting

I am sure both Obama and Clinton supporters have said actually brightline below the belt remarks, and have not been asked to return money...

These days, you can even be a white neo-nazi and GOP/Ron Paul won't return your money...

I knew you'd bring up your old fall-back position, "Paul did it."

I seem to remember a lot of members on the left here saying Paul should return the funds from Duke. Yet you're sidestepping it when Hillary won't return money given to her by someone that has made racist/sexist comments. Interesting insight into your value system.

it's only interesting that you think what she said was in some way sexist, instead of based on reality

BTW Obama, nor his campaign, has asked her to return the money...and since she was discussing Obama and Clinton...if neither of them wants her to return the money...

I don't think Hillary should give her money back. But she should get rid of her like Obama got rid of his "monster" campaigner.

She's claiming Obama is only getting the support he is because he's a black man, that's a racist and sexist comment all wrapped up in one tight little package.

I don't think she should either, I just find it interesting that no one on the left on this forum is willing to say she should when they jumped all over Paul not returning Duke's donation. It's hypocritical.

she was an official advisor...you know...in on all the meetings, helping him direct his campaign...he said don't come to anymore campaign meetings

it looks like Ferraro had a fundraiser at a law firm...it doesnt look like she's coming to any campaign strategy meetings, so basically she was fired...from positions she never had

I don't consider this woman at the same level of Duke. She's a feminist in a campaign who said something foolish for her candidate. I wouldn't know if she's truly racist or what have you from this. But she has disgraced herself and her candidate and as such she should resign and/or remove her affiliation from the campaign. This hasn't been a pattern for her and she hasn't made her livelihood on such statements as far as I'm aware, so she should be given some slack.

She's faced sexism in her life...in an extremely public and embarrasing way:

She recalled some of the rhetoric she faced in 1984: Barbara Bush describing her as "rhymes with witch," and George H.W. Bush telling supporters after a vice presidential debate that "we kicked a little ass last night." Or Joan Rivers calling the Mondale-Ferraro ticket "Fritz & Tits."
If she's either being misunderstood or over-reacting to past and current sexism, that's one thing

to found racist organizations hoping to deny the holocaust and promote a superior white culture over latino/asian/black americans is another

Only on this board would comments made about the political environment involving white men be deemed the same as radical hate groups

That's not what I read out of it, I read it as Obama is a more exciting candidate because of his ethnic background

Which is not entirely implausible by itself especially if you include age/looks, every theme he's stated has been said by someone else (in fact more strongly), in fact he's compared himself to bill clinton numerous times

unless there is some new idea you think he's brought to the table?

as far as you're aware? you really think she might have made a living as a racist?

The "this hasn't been a pattern for her" is the part I was referring to as not making a living as a sexist and a racist.
