N.Y. Times: New York governor linked to prostitution - Page 2

I heard this story while listening to NPR this morning. Not once did they mention he was a democrat. I had to see what he was when I got into work this morning. Now there is a surprise. But anyway....

Howard Stern talked about this today for over an hour. He did make a point of why this is so bad. Some prostitute rings are run by organized crime. And he really put himself and his position in office in a bad spot where he could have been blackmailed. Even if it wasn't an organized crime operation he still was taking a HUGE risk. Not very smart.

if i had to guess id say its like a porn studio...they have hot chicks running to them and they don't even have enough shoots to hire them all, and the whole operation is run by some 29 year old guy

as far as "media bias" there is only one governor, anyone can look it up, how many times have you heard "Republican President George Bush recieved criticism on Iraq today..."

Only when it's in a legislative body do you often hear them name parties, because there's so many of them

Last scandal I remember is Larry Craig, where someone who spear-headed an impeachment on a blowjob was having sex with men in bathrooms...hmm

Before that you had a pederast that was being covered and protected by the GOP

Those were party and ideological issues, EP acted alone as a man, it has absolutely nothing to do with the NY Dems or Dems abroad

Don't get so defensive there Mr. Democrat. I was just saying that it was interesting they didn't mention his party. Seems they always remember when it's a republican.

And you are correct, what he did has nothing to do with his party and everything to do with his character.

No he's an idiot. The Governor thought he was smarter than the people, he forgot to realize he is the Governor of the #1 Media Capital in the United States. They found this crap on him and ran him into the ground, now if Prostitution was legal, it'd be a non-issue. People don't even care that he fucked the bitches, it's the fact he lied about it and is now refusing to re-sign, he's a douche.

At first, he tried to cover his tracks and say he wasn't Client 9 or whatever it was, but once the media slapped him with all the info... Shit. All he had to say was, "Yeah I slept with prostitutes." He could've made it a political issue, nope. I know this, people I talked to, didn't even care that he comitted adultery. There were upset that he wouldn't re-sign, which he should. You got caught, be lucky they don't investigate you used tax-payers money (which he did by definition, since as being a Governor he is paid by tax-payers cash). They're humans, they want to party, have sex with hot chicks... But it's a crime to pay for it? Give me a break.

But as far as I can tell, he didn't comment until he apologized and that was it, there were no details

^When a Governor shuts down 2 prostitute drug-rings and then goes out getting involved in this scandal... Not only are you a hypocrite, you're a liar! You can't put people in jail for one thing and then go do the exact opposite, it's lying to the people. Obviously he has no problems with prostitutes, otherwise he wouldn't fuck them.

Though his salary is paid for by New York citizen, they should be outraged and he should be impeached immediately if he doesn't re-sign.

I'm just saying that it's not like he really had a choice on these prostitution bills, NY was never ever going to legalize prostitution

So, if Obama liked to smoke weed in private, and you found out, would you vote for McCain because Obama is violating the law and he's not obeying the nations laws?

Be real here, they increase laws on prostitution because unregulated prostitution is 66% very abusive, 33% somewhat abusive and 1% super-high-roller non abusive

Some woman isn't getting $11,000 and a tip for 2 hours...and being "abused"

Well, he just resigned. God his wife, who is normally pretty great looking, looked tired and worn out. Why do the wives feel they have to stand next to their louse husbands when they do this kind of thing?

Anyway, now the governor of NY is a Democrat that supports an open border AND non-citizens being allowed to vote. God help us all....

maybe if we didn't live in a society with such archaic sexual values, it wouldn't be like that

Don't think it matters. The only thing that matters is when it comes time to cast the vote. The superdelegate vote goes to the person in the position, not the actual person. He probably lost his vote, that's not to say the next person won't vote for the Senator from their state who won by a large margin.
