It's not your solution, which would be to elect Ron Paul and a Congress full of his clones

This has nothing to do with Ron Paul or elections. Whoever is president, democrat, republican, aliens, whatever... You always go back to that when you have nothing to say.

You really think an all out libertarian government could solve this?

Again, it's not about libertarians or democrats or anything like that. It's about identifying problems (particularly the roots of problems) and fixing them. Is the root of the problem that people are electing republicans? If that's what you're saying, 20 of the past 28 years must have really pissed you off.

I don't even know what you're talking about. I fail to see why you bring libertarianism into every conversation.

Yup.

Martin Van Buren solved the greatest Depression this country had ever seen up to that time with free market solutions - and got over the Depression sooner and better than Hoover's and FDR's 'solutions.'

Also, the vote was to authorize the president to meaningfully threaten war to get UN inspections, he got the inspections and went to war anyway, violating what the Democrats wanted...it was 100% GOP war

No, it was 100% GOP and Democrat war. The Dems had been wanting to go to war since Clinton. The GOP just pursued Clinton's intentions.

if they wanted to go for war, how come the Democrats told Bush to give the inspectors time to find weapons (which they wouldn't have)?

If you take the Democrats who voted against the war (a majority in the house, close in the senate) and then add those who wanted more inspections, you have a clear majority and only conservative blue dog democrats...the kind that are pro-life/proBushTaxCuts/socially conservative...remain

You want to sit there and say that social and economic conservatism is what the Democratic Party is about...well you couldn't because you've been calling them wacko-leftists forever
