Is Keith Olbermann respectable?

I like someone with a liberal point of view on TV

But the truth is we have better, Rachel Maddow has been taking nicely to more airtime, others are there too, they are just invited to "balance the show" instead of to lead it

I was already annoyed with him several times for non-political on-air mistakes he made, and his "style" always came off as...fake...like he was trying to be serious

After watching that I lost what little respect I had for his show...

Listen he's a good sports analyst he should do that, be highly successful, and let idiots like BillO be the laughing joke when they talk about Eliot Spitzer's marital problems after trying to initiate an affair and harrass a female coworker, "culture warrior"

But he can do his own thing, be great at it, and leave the world of cable tv politics

He's nothing more than Bill O'Reilley of the left. He's a pompous blow hard who lectures his listeners.

a few months ago you had no problem with him hosting a democratic debate:
Democrats say no to Fox and Yes to Keith Olbermann

But he turned on Hillary and now he has no respect?

I don't think he's respectable at all. He often misquotes people to change what they say so he can attack them for things he made up. He isn't accurate. To top it off, he isn't even that skilled when it comes to hosting.

This video is basically what he always does. There's nothing new here. It's interesting to see people's opinion change when he goes after politicians they like.

As all seem to agree, his show is propaganda.

If you take it for what it is, I don't think there is a problem with the show.

Interesting that such a thread is made a few days after Olbermann ripped Hilary for her arrogance and insults towards Obama.

I take very few things Olbermann says seriously. When I do watch him it's usually because I need background noise and MSNBC tends to be more entertaining. His 'Special Comments' are always interesting, although when Bill O'Reilly gets angry and talks forcibly for several minutes at a time I also find him interesting, so that's not saying much.

With both Olbermann and O'Reilly I just assume they're bullshitting, and it seems to be a good path to take.

Also, I'd feel 100% confidence in him co-hosting a debate...he keeps his opinions to himself and I thought his questions were always fair

This is about his "opinions/special comments"

I am sure if you guys knew Tom Brokaw's every political opinion, you'd all troll him out of this forum for being too liberal, but it's a no brainer that he was the best anchorman in the past decade and he'd make an excellent debate host

i think he represents what a lot of the people in the US are thinking. i really find it hard to believe he is anywhere near the "oreilly of the left' just because someone says he is

i'm not saying he's my favorite, or that he's unbiased, but to compare him to oreilly just because he's outspoken is just

O'Reilly is a bully, Keith is not...BillO uses so many under-handed tactics it's not even funny

Everyone knows Keith is left of center...and what devious tactics does he use? He talks about it on his show to guests he cordially invites

Olberdouche is also a bully, he just doesn't have the balls to say things to people's faces like O'rly.

He lectures, ridicules, "worst person in the world", "shame on you!" etc etc... O'rly is just more direct with his bullying. Olberdouche is more passive aggressive with his.

that's no different then "pinheads" and liking/disliking music just because of what the artist stands for

Why did the video show some of the same clips more than once? Was it just not long enough?

Anyway, as far as the Ferraro thing goes. I watched an interview where she explained herself and the comments she made and it made perfect sense. I didn't think what she said was so bad. I mean, no worse than Obama's "Typical White Person" comment from yesterday.

Ferraro is not a racist, she just said a stupid comment and then said and even dumber one after that
