I don't think he stands much of a chance. He's just more of the same.

That 50 state strategy he used in the '06 elections was certainly "playing it safe".

very well could be, but the clintons are smart enough to know not to go near this issue publically. it would be a disaster for them

They're probably pulling American guns off them too... that means jack shit.

We've talked about this before, Iran doesn't want to block the border between them and Iraq because there is lots of money to be made right now. Iran would be retarded to NOT sell shit to anyone with money. It's not a political issue, it's a monetary one.

I didn't say they were involved in Iraq, I said they're doing business with whomever wants to do business with them. Switzerland did it throughout WW2 and we don't bitch about that.

Iran is ALSO doing business with us. Would you want to mandate they ONLY do business with us? Because that would be sovereignty encroachment and that just plain ain't cool

I didn't say they could only do business with us. But their guns are in the hands of people shooting at us, AND they're getting the guns NOW...it's not like they got them years ago and are using them now. They're getting them now. And they're also getting bomb-making materials and better IEDs from iran.

So there's nothing wrong with mccain saying it, yet you still

They are taking russian guns off them as well. Does that mean russia is involved?

And taking Iranian weapons off insurgents is not the same as staing Iran is training AQ fighters to send to Iraq, which is false.

Sen. John McCain, traveling in the Middle East to promote his foreign policy expertise, misidentified in remarks Tuesday which broad category of Iraqi extremists are allegedly receiving support from Iran.
He said several times that Iran, a predominately Shiite country, was supplying the mostly Sunni militant group, al-Qaeda. In fact, officials have said they believe Iran is helping Shiite extremists in Iraq.
Speaking to reporters in Amman, the Jordanian capital, McCain said he and two Senate colleagues traveling with him continue to be concerned about Iranian operatives “taking al-Qaeda into Iran, training them and sending them back.”
Pressed to elaborate, McCain said it was “common knowledge and has been reported in the media that al-Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran, that’s well known. And it’s unfortunate.” A few moments later, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, standing just behind McCain, stepped forward and whispered in the presidential candidate’s ear. McCain then said: “I’m sorry, the Iranians are training extremists, not al-Qaeda.”

Yeah, there is nothing wrong with what he's saying.

Iran training Al Qaeda? That's like the KKK training black people to infiltrate the Black Panthers.

Someone's mixing up their Shiites and Sunni's! Wonder if anyone bothered to call McCain on this twisting (or ignorance) of facts?

I guess with people of his ilk making shit up about Al Qaeda, Iraq, WMD, threats to America, etc.. for so long, it's an easy mistake to make.

St. McCain? Even though he's repeated this basic Iraq 101 mistake over and over again?

He's too senile or stupid to be president, take your pick, but the media always has a hard on for the GOP and calls every democratic nominee pathetic and flawed

It's not about me, maybe try sticking to the topic of John McCain making a blunder (again) about a foreign policy area that's supposed to be his strong point?

I'm not running for President, but I do know the differences between Shiites and Sunni's, and I know that they are ideologically opposed, so it makes no sense for Iran (a Shiite majority country) to be training Al Qaeda (a Sunni organization)
