girls are awful, especially to each other.

my sister in law has two girls. my favorite story so far, the younger one was 10 and the other one was 13. it was christmas and all the older one wanted was this one clothes outfit. she got through all her presents and didn't get the outfit she wanted. at last my sis-in-law brought out one more package and it was the clothes. 13 year old goes to her room and comes back and the younger one, in full bitch mode, says "it makes you look fat."

tears and yelling and all that shit.......the 13 year old put the outfit back in the box and never wore it again.

the stereotypes are true, boys go from friends to pissed and punching each other and back to friends in the span of minutes. A fight and it's over.

girls can be best friends but still be plotting the most ruthless and hurtful shit "just in case that changes." They'll try to emotionally scar the other girl for life.

that's got to be the parenting that causes that. i have seen it in other females, that vindictiveness, but for the life of me, I don't understand it. I've never been a vindictive person, but I know plenty of females like that.

maybe it's cause i'm a tomboy.. who knows. but that shit is fucked up.

she's gotta have something going for her in "other areas" then, because more than one guy gave up a military career for her.

I would never pick a fight over eating food. Just keep working at it to get her to eat what you want but don't press it very long. Women especially want a small child to obey every command, but they have little self control and want to be the boss. Understand that, which men do better than women, and work with her. Always remember you are the adult and she is the child. Get her to know early what no means even if you have to scare her a little because when they get older they don't scare maybe slap the back of her hand I know to some that sound bad but it works. Also I think the old saying that you can get a child to do whatever you want if you play with them. When I was raising mine I was a bigger child than my children. I would chase them, tickle them, play hide and seek, make silly faces. I was one big clown but they were the only ones that knew it so it was okay.

I want my children to trust me. Scaring them breaks trust, and hitting them breaks it faster.

They need to respect your No, and if you let them know soon or right after you slap their wrist or just yell loudly No, that can work when they are little, that it was not personal and then soon show them love and play with them they will know it is for their own good. Even when their little they can understand this and they really need to know your the boss. Time outs can work but I do not know if it is any less painful, not physical but still painful for you and them than the slapping of the hand, and if screaming is involved I know it is worse.
