| That crazy little Honda Fit So I discovered something odd about my Fit. It actually runs cooler when it's wide open at 5,000+RPMs than it does cruising at 75mph on the highway at 3000 rpms. Once it gets up to operating temp, cruising around at normal speeds the engine is about 177-181 degrees. It's never been over 181. A couple of times I noticed while getting on the highway that the temps seemed to drop a bit and then come back up again once I got up to speed. Today I was bored so I went out for a drive on my lunch break. I decided to go around the clover leaf a few times because the car just handles so well it's actually fun. Anyway, I had it in 2nd gear buzzing around 5000-6000 rpms the entire way around and the temps never went above 172 or so. I had it very close to redline steadily for 15 or 20 seconds probably. These damn Honda's as so good. | ||||

| I have a manual blue Honda Fit. I love my car! Great on gas mileage and no problems so far with 35,000 driven on it. | ||||
