James Madison - he wrote this in 1795, 200 years may have passed but the lessons remain the same. Of course in this day and age he would be labeled unpatriotic for wanting government to stay true to the constitution in matters regarding war

| Because he understood how armies and warfare operated in Europe and the rest of the world over 200 years ago? That would be my guess. If you think it really compares to some Hippy protest of all Armies and Warfare in the 21st Century then I don't get it? The kind of military restraint in conquest demonstated by the United States and other countries in Two World Wars had yet to happen. | ||||
