| TSA Abuse Again: Woman had to removed nipple piercings to board plane! LOS ANGELES - A Texas woman who said she was forced to remove a nipple ring with pliers in order to board an airplane called Thursday for an apology by federal security agents.... Full Article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080328/...nipple_rings_9 I mean come on... Really? Really? I don't know what to say anymore, I'm glad I just stick to the privacy of my own home. One day I'll be pulled over and an FBI Agent will tell me to take off my pants, because they think UFO Terrorists implanted a bomb in my asshole.

I'm not flying again until Hannah is old enough to carry her own crap.

| It's from basically Philly to the south shore. It is very close in time actually. I think flying, door to door, we save an hour at the very best. We really flew just because Hannah would not tolerate sitting in her car seat for 5-6 hours. When you fly it's short burts. 20 minutes to the airport. then we walk around and stuff. Then sit in the plane for 40 minutes. Then get out and walk around. you know. It breaks it up. That's why we want to take the Acela. The Acela can make the trip in 5 hours, which is similar to driving, but on a train we can get up and walk around with her. | ||||

| They don't ask people to remove metal plates from thier body do they? I mean what if you had a pin in your bone because of an injury... would they require you to remove that? In either case some piece of metal has been surgically attached to your body. It's ridiculous. People will get fired over this. | ||||

It's the same sort of thing, just her metal was a choice on her part and is visible if she is naked. My metal was surgical necessity and is only visible on X-Rays and the like. Both have been surgically attached to the body though. | ||||

| I travel with my piercings all the time...nobody has said a thing. But just to play devil's advocate...I am not buying her story when it comes to removing them unless they are fairly recent. I have seen people take them in and out of nipples all the time to put in different ones. I do the same thing with the ones I have. They also have piercings made of different material such as bioplastic. That's as far as I'll go with this one because I think the situation was fucked up. She should have just said no. | ||||

| I can't stand TSA. They are the most over-officious, completely useless, pain-in-the-ass federal agency ever created. I loath them. This is what happens when you take a bunch of working-class people willing to work for $40K/year and tell them that they're important. They're fucking brainwashed into thinking they matter. | ||||
