That was amazing!

As a former Art Student I could not help but notice the was the elephant draws compared to a trained person. We tend to sketch things out from observation bit by bit and then layer a more completed work on top. The elephant paints a continuous line, like tracing a picture in your head, until the paint has run out or the image sharply changes direction. The way the elephant draws the legs and the trunk around the flower stem demonstraits a clear understand of how to represent a three dimentional image on a two dimentional surface. Most people who cannot draw very well draw flat surface images. Fascinating!

except it's not a self portrait.

the elephant was smart enough to be trained to draw what looked like an elephant. other elephants were there drawing flowers and shit (you can see it in the video for a split second).
