I can't think of a better example off the top of my head, but it really fucks kids up when the teacher does shit like this: student1: abortion stops a beating heart teacher (to stu1): but outlawing abortion means the govt has control of a woman's body student2: yeah, keep ...

You'd think one guy adding to the conversation intelligently would cause people with similar ideas to feel represented and have little to nothing more to add. If the prof kept going back to the SAME guy b/c he was the only one representing the Republican side of an argument, then the prof isn't being fair in how he allows people to speak.

It can be hard to pull off though, I've only really ever had one teacher that could do it consistently.

I used to be one of those people too edit: The misallocation of resources, the limited jobs open to you when you take a lot of the same classes, the alumni network, and the general "we're better and wealthier than you" attitude makes it an easy target to despise Last edited by A_C_E; 04-02-2008 at 02:00 PM. | ||||

| I can't help it. I just don't see homemaking as a productive use of one's time in modern society. In my mind, it shows no ambition and little exercise of one's autonomy in a free state. You can do anything that you want, yet you choose to stay at home with the children all day long? I just can't understand it. Again, this is my own personal opinion that I hold for any number of reasons. I do not speak for anyone else. | ||||
